  1. Make the exam list sortable

Under the exams tab, currently the exams and quizzes are sorted by when they are posted. It would be great if we had the option to sort them by when they are due.

  2. Different colors for submitting exam buttons

Have different colors for the submit and next question buttons.

Have confirmation like " Are you sure you want to submit this exam?"

I clicked the wrong button after the first exam and it submitted! Got a really bad score on that one!

  3. A "Turn Off Notifications" Feature

I get a lot of messages that do not apply to me. I actually need to know if I have relevant messages in my inbox from TA's but close to 75% of the notifications I get are from people who are asking for notes and then all the replies of "I need them too!" or "The syllabus says don't do that" etc. I would like to be able to simply not receive notifications from those messages so I know if my TA's or professors have actually shared relevant information with me.

  4. No more comparisons!

I don't understand the need for a comparison button. I have gone my whole schooling career without ever knowing how I compared to everyone else in the class, and you know what? I've been fine! Pride begins with comparisons, and not to mention the low self-esteem one receives when they've done worse than everyone else in the class. I'm disappointed with BYU and the standards it stands for if it has pride-promoting buttons next to every single assignment. Please remove this! It does more damage than it's worth!

  6. Wrap text in Schedule List

When you look at the schedule for all of the classes, it is inconvenient to have to scroll right and left to see the longer assignment listings. It would be much nicer for the text to wrap, so to speak, so that there would be no need to scroll right to see the text.

  8. Add a system clock at the top

There's a deadline paired with assignments that is set to a specific time of day (e.g. 11:59 pm). However, there is no indicator anywhere that shows what time it currently is in the LearningSuite server system. For all I know it could be two minutes faster or slower than what I have on my watch/phone/laptop. Having a clock displayed relative to the system would help prevent last-minute issues

  9. Create Repeating Events in Calendar

There needs to be a way to create a repeating event in the combined calendar for things that teachers haven't put there. I want to, for example, put that I have an online math assignment due every tuesday and thursday rather than have to type it in on each day, each week.

  10. Have the combined schedule default to 7 days showing after chosen

    Duplicate:
    1. Log in to Learning Suite
    2. Click on combined schedule
    3. Click on 7 days to show 7 days (top right corner)

After I log out or move pages and then go back to the combined schedule, I would like it to have stayed on showing the 7 days, rather than going back to 5 days and always reclicking on 7 days.

  11. Headers in Chronological Order

It would be great to be able to reorder the headers into chronological order instead of alphabetical order. This would also be a fantastic feature in the grid view of the combined schedule, so it was like an actual calendar of my schedule.

  12. Half points on grades round up

If an assignment has a half point, the score will round up. If you click the stats it will show you the real grade. You should show the real grade in the main grades list.

  13. Extremely clear warning that the exam is about to end.

A clear statement such as "This is the end of the exam. Are you sure you want to submit," would be useful to avoid submitting exams prematurely by mistake.

  15. Maintain line breaks in comments

When adding notes to an assignment, newlines are not transformed into <br> tags.

    Example

    "1. a
    2. b
    3. c"

    comes back as "1.a 2.b 3.c" when I view/submit

  16. Link or view of Professor's personal class websites

I really hate it when Professor's choose to have their own website for their classes. The ideal solution would be to require all Professor's to use learning suite (It get's messy when three classes are on Learning Suite and the other two are on their own websites).

Since it is likely not possible to require this, it would be really nice to have Learning Suite accommodations.

    Option #1 (Easier)
Since the Learning Suite is often not published when a Professor has an external website, it would be very helpful to at least link to the external website when you click…

  17. Message Confirmation

Create a "Seen By: " box so the message sender knows if the message has been read. This would be similar to the feature in Facebook when someone posts to a group page. And help professors/students know if they need to verbally follow up on messages that may or may not have been checked.

  18. Have a "sent history" on the email tab so that I can look back at past messages I have sent.

I'd like to be able to look back on the emails I've sent through Learning Suite for things like drafted emails that were never sent, emails I have sent, and emails that might not have gone through.

  19. Take away the Presidential Message on the LS landing page

As a web developer myself, I'm appreciative of the functionality LS provides--especially the combined calendar. However, the new "Presidential Message" that appears on LS home page takes away from the stark functionality of Learning Suite. Upon loading, it often grabs my attention as it's the only graphic on the page. However, I've noticed that the image and quote often get distracts and derails me from my focus on my assignments. I log into LS with the goal of looking up an assignment. But when the graphic/quote appears, my thoughts are drawn away from navigating to the specific class and I…

  20. Mobile Phone: Grid Schedule

BYU's learning suite combined calendar is a helpful tool. On mobile devices when the grid - calendar is selected, but when I try to scroll down to see the rest of the grid, it switches back to "list mode". Please fix this!

A previous request was made for this fix, but it was declined. If you aren't going to fix it, then removed the "grid combined calendar" option for mobile phones. Currently it is unusable.
