  1. Stop using user's email in FROM field

I would consider this an urgent LearningSuite request. Please read!

When LearningSuite sends emails, it extracts the sender's email address from BYU personal information and tacks that address on to the outgoing email in the FROM and REPLY-TO fields.

A couple of years ago, this wouldn't have been a problem. However, DMARC has become more prevalent; causing LearningSuite emails to be rejected or marked as spam by the recipient's email service.

(If you don't know what DMARC is, it is essentially a filter that will catch any emails which do not come from servers within the recipient's domain. LearningSuite servers…

  2. View score of multiple choice separate from Written

When you finish an exam (with both multiple choice and written responces) it currently shows the score of multiple choice questions with the TOTAL number of points possible. This makes the score appear much lower because the written responses are not yet graded.
Allow the final score to appear such as : Multiple choice 37/40. Written responses ?/60 .
    rather than currently: 37/100

  3. A thought to make the Course List / Schedule / Announcements Flow a tiny bit less confusing...

    - The Course List has data for Past / Current / Future courses while
    - (as far as I can tell), Schedule and Announcements both only contain information for Current courses. That gets confusing when you click on "future" to get information about upcoming courses for the new semester (as it's not the current semester) and then when you hit Schedule or Announcements you get blanks (as I believe they only show info for Current courses--but that's not clear).

On the Announcements / Schedule, explicity state in the center of the blank screen, "You have no current courses." If you…

  5. Remove the left navigation bar when viewing the aggregated schedule

This will buy all users real estate when coming to the landing page of Learning Suite when it eventually becomes the main page (which is my understanding is the eventual goal once performance issues are ironed out--it'll be great. Very few know about the aggregated schedule still. :). This might mean some customization away from existing templates, but I think it's well worth the value added to students in making the calendar more usable.

The biggest issue I see is finding a home for 'Course List', 'Announcements' and 'Assignments'. As the Schedule already exists in its own 'class'* with these…

  6. stats

Currently, there is a way to view stats for individual assignments, quizzes, exams, etc. There should be a way to view stats for all sections of the class. For instance, how am I doing on the in-class quizzes compared to the class? What about for the written homework? Right now I can only find stats for individual assignments or my overall grade in the class.

  7. E-mail Recipient Warning

I've sent e-mails to the class before without realizing I had no recipients selected. Can I get a warning if I have no subject or recipient? Where do recipient-less emails even go?

  8. Show Due Time on Grade Section

It would be good if it can not only show due date but also the due time. I have been tricked by cases where a particular assignment has the same due date but a earlier due time and not able to submit the assignments on time.

  9. Connect the schedule to the materials used that day

It would be great if the uploaded materials used in class could be synchronized with the schedule. What I mean by this is that it would be great, for example, if I could just click a part of the class schedule for that day and that click will take me to the materials used on that day so that I don't have to look for the materials uploaded in another folder somewhere in the Learning Suite.

  10. Change arrows on aggregated Schedule to both be to the left of the date range.

The position of the current arrows on the aggregated schedule are affected by the dates of the week because they appear to the left *and* right of the date range. When transitioning between months, the date range item changes from something like "January 20-24" to "March 31-April 4". This increases the size of the date range which pushes the right arrow to the right. When trying to move through weeks quickly the behavior becomes frustrating as you have to move the position of the cursor to play hide-and-seek with the moving arrow. ;) A number of other calendars handle this…

  11. Change (aggregate) Schedule Dropdown Settings to Show Course Tabs, not Settings.

Concerning the arrow dropdown menu on the row headers of the aggregate schedule that currently lead to selecting content columns (for instance: "lectures" and "homework") for a given course:

    (1) These settings, I believe, are probably very rarely accessed (I'd guess at most a few times a semester if at all for most users though I don't if anything is in place currently to track this). They could potentially be moved somewhere a little more remote. I believe this dropdown could be repopulated with much more useful (and frequently accessed) content and features, even if these remain as a last…
