  1. Show all TA open lab hours in a weekly schedule format.

All of the TAs open lab hours are listed beneath their names, but it would be more helpful to see the list in a weekly calendar format. Sometimes a student doesn't care which TA has which hours, they just want to know if there will be a TA in the open lab before they make the trip to campus. If a class has multiple TAs in multiple places, then the system can sort by the room location of the office hours.

  2. Add your own "Course" on the schedule

I love the new schedule layout with all the courses down the side and the days of the week across the top! But I currently have (and have had in the past) professor who don't use learning suite. I like that you can add your own notes etc to the schedule and I propose a similar idea. It would be awesome if you could add your own "course" to the schedule. Just an option to create another additional row at the bottom or something and you can just add in your own text the same way that you can for…

  3. The iCalendar feed to stop listing classes and assignments as All-Day events.

The iCalendar feed would be vastly improved by listing the class at the time it was taught during the day rather than listing each class as an All-Day event. Also, it would be great if the assignments or classwork associated with each class period was included all in one event, rather than 2 or 3 separate All-Day events.

  4. Onscreen icon to show when there are Saturday/Sunday items not showing

    Small, but
    (1) for those that have these items, it would probably be a blessing to not need to hit 7 days every time (making it a persistent changed setting would also change it for this group), but
    (2) for those who don't regularly have Saturday items so it's more of a surprise (so they probably won't have changed the setting out of a desire to keep screen real estate).

The notification could just be a small red exclamation point or something similar on the right side of the screen at the top of the calendar. *Hovering* would have a…

  5. Clean Printout of Schedule

When I want to print out the schedule for my class folder (hard copy), the print preview includes the tabs and other items that makes the printout messy.
It would be great to have button that creates a printer friendly version of a class schedule, without the tabs and navigation buttons.

  6. Wrap text in Schedule List

When you look at the schedule for all of the classes, it is inconvenient to have to scroll right and left to see the longer assignment listings. It would be much nicer for the text to wrap, so to speak, so that there would be no need to scroll right to see the text.

  7. Create Repeating Events in Calendar

There needs to be a way to create a repeating event in the combined calendar for things that teachers haven't put there. I want to, for example, put that I have an online math assignment due every tuesday and thursday rather than have to type it in on each day, each week.

  8. Starting consolidated schedule on Monday instead of Sunday!

Creating an option to start consolidated schedule on Monday instead of Sunday! All my Sunday assignments are due for the week before it, not after, and it would be nice to be able to see what is due all in the same week all on the same page.

  9. Improve editing of self-added notes/items

    1) Right now if you want to delete a note, you click on it and select "Edit" and then "Delete". This can be a time-consuming process. "Delete" should be moved to the flyout itself, perhaps with a confirmation window if that is a concern (though I think it may not be)

    2) When saving an edit to a previously created note, the button for saving reads "update" (as in C.R.U.D.). It should read "save" for non-technical users.

    3) The ability to change a note's date would be helpful. Right now users are forced to delete each note and then recreate…

  10. Copy and paste iCalendar feed on mobile devices (Android specifically)

I cannot copy the iCalendar link when viewing Learning Suite on a mobile browser. This seems like a simple fix, but it's very irritating.

  11. Mobile Phone: Grid Schedule

BYU's learning suite combined calendar is a helpful tool. On mobile devices when the grid - calendar is selected, but when I try to scroll down to see the rest of the grid, it switches back to "list mode". Please fix this!

A previous request was made for this fix, but it was declined. If you aren't going to fix it, then removed the "grid combined calendar" option for mobile phones. Currently it is unusable.

  12. Automatically create a to-do list based off of assignments

Have a to do list that the student can edit. They should be able to edit completion time, add assignments/readings, take away assignments.

  13. Combined Schedule AM/PM

Every time I try to add an assignment due date to the Combined Schedule, it allows me to change the date and time, however the AM/PM is always seems to be set to AM, even after attempting to change it. It would also be nice if we could edit the time and description when adding the item (perhaps "Add Text" isn't the best wording, either?), rather than typing the title and needing to click on the item again to pull up the edit dialog box.

  14. Remove the left navigation bar when viewing the aggregated schedule

This will buy all users real estate when coming to the landing page of Learning Suite when it eventually becomes the main page (which is my understanding is the eventual goal once performance issues are ironed out--it'll be great. Very few know about the aggregated schedule still. :). This might mean some customization away from existing templates, but I think it's well worth the value added to students in making the calendar more usable.

The biggest issue I see is finding a home for 'Course List', 'Announcements' and 'Assignments'. As the Schedule already exists in its own 'class'* with these…

  15. Connect the schedule to the materials used that day

It would be great if the uploaded materials used in class could be synchronized with the schedule. What I mean by this is that it would be great, for example, if I could just click a part of the class schedule for that day and that click will take me to the materials used on that day so that I don't have to look for the materials uploaded in another folder somewhere in the Learning Suite.

  16. Change arrows on aggregated Schedule to both be to the left of the date range.

The position of the current arrows on the aggregated schedule are affected by the dates of the week because they appear to the left *and* right of the date range. When transitioning between months, the date range item changes from something like "January 20-24" to "March 31-April 4". This increases the size of the date range which pushes the right arrow to the right. When trying to move through weeks quickly the behavior becomes frustrating as you have to move the position of the cursor to play hide-and-seek with the moving arrow. ;) A number of other calendars handle this…

  17. Change (aggregate) Schedule Dropdown Settings to Show Course Tabs, not Settings.

Concerning the arrow dropdown menu on the row headers of the aggregate schedule that currently lead to selecting content columns (for instance: "lectures" and "homework") for a given course:

    (1) These settings, I believe, are probably very rarely accessed (I'd guess at most a few times a semester if at all for most users though I don't if anything is in place currently to track this). They could potentially be moved somewhere a little more remote. I believe this dropdown could be repopulated with much more useful (and frequently accessed) content and features, even if these remain as a last…
